Postcard "Butterfly"

Use a square of paper.

1 Fold a sheet half-and-half and return in an initial position.

2 Make the limited crease.

3 Fold the lateral sides to the centre.

4 Valley fold and unfold the top edge to the middle fold-line.

5 Step fold the paper.

6 Valley fold and unfold the corners.

7 Valley fold the lateral edges to meet vertical middle line.

8,9 Open out the model and form the creases as shown.

10 Bring the left- and right-hand sides around and together as shown in the next step.

11 Rpess the paper flat.

12,13 Turn the model over.

14 Fold all layers half-and-half and return in an initial position.

15 Valley fold and unfold the corners.

16 Lift down the top point as shown.

17,18 Turn the model over and valley fold the corners to bottom.

19 Lift up the corners.

20 Turn the model over and lift up the corners.

21 Valley fold all layers point as shown.

22 Pull out the points in the direction shown by the arrows.

23 Open the bottom pockets into the squares and lift up the central corners of the top pockets in the direction shown by the arrows.

24 Open out the two bottom pockets and squash it down neatly.

25 The result.

26 Step fold the flaps, thereby making the wings of the butterfly.

27 The result.

28 Valley fold and unfold the edges of the wings.

29 Open out the layers, thereby making the "moustache" of the butterfly.

30 The card "Butterfly" is ready!
