Use a square of paper.

1 Valley fold the opposite corners together in turn to mark the diagonal fold-line.

2 Valley fold it in half from right to left.

3 Lift the top half up along the middle fold-line. Open out the paper and squash it down neatly into square.

4 The result. Turn the model over.

5 Repeat step 3.

6 Here is completed the "square base" or "preliminary fold". Valley fold the front flap's lower sloping edges over, so they lie along the middle fold-line. Press the flat and unfold them.

7 Valley fold and unfold top triangle in half.

8 Open out the flaps and repeat steps 6-8 behind.

9 Valley fold all layers of model, combining the specified points, then unfold.

10 Turn the model over and repeat the previous operation.

11 Capture by the large and index fingers of hands for places marked by points, and stretch top in a square.

12 Combine the marked points, folding the received square on a diagonal.

13 Move the opposite sides together, resulting the model in the flat form.

14 Valley fold one layer to itself.

15 Turn the model over.

16 Lift the top layer up.

17 The result.
Turn the model over.

18 Valley fold the front flap from bottom to top.

19 First valley fold the top layer, and then bottom.

20 Valley fold the front flap from top to bottom.

21 Repeat steps 18-20 in a direction specified in figures.

22 Star is ready!
