Use a rectangle of paper, approximately 2x1 in proportion.

1 Valley fold and unfold the paper in half.

2 Valley fold the opposite sides to the middle fold-line.
Turn the model over.

3 Valley fold and unfold each fourth in half.

4 Valley fold and unfold the paper in half from bottom to top.
Turn the model over.

5 Valley fold the top and bottom edges to the middle fold-line.
Turn the model over.

6,7 Make creases on diagonals, as shown in figures.

8 Step fold the paper as shown.

9 Valley fold the left-hand edge to meet the middle fold-line.

10 Valley fold one layer from left to right.

11 Valley fold the right-hand edge, covering the front layer.

12 Pressing on lateral corners, fold the points of top and bottom edges into the centre.

13 Valley fold one layer from right to left.

14 Pressing on lateral corners, fold the points of top and bottom edges into the centre.

15 Mountain fold the top and bottom corners back.

16 To give models the volumetric form, you need a thin subject. Insert it through the top or bottom aperture inside and consistently push out each of three corners outside, slightly pressing from above and from below.

17 Crystal is ready!
