Use a square of paper. 1 Valley fold the opposite corners together in turn to mark the diagonal fold-line. 2 Valley fold it in half from right to left. 3 Lift the top half up along the middle fold-line. Open out the paper and squash it down neatly into square. 4 The result. Turn the model over. 5 Repeat step 3. 6 Here is completed the "square base" or "preliminary fold". Open out the right-hand flap of paper and squash it into a triangle. 7 Repeat step 6 for other sides. 8 This should be the result. 9 Valley fold the front flap's lower sloping edges over, so they lie along the middle fold-line. Press the flat and unfold them. 10 Pinch and lift up the flap's horizontal edge. Continue to lift up the flap so its edges meet in the middle. Press the paper down neatly, making a small triangular flap. 11 Open the layers up and move the frond flap's conter inside the model. 12 This should be the result. Repeat steps 9-11 for other three sides. 13 Valley fold the front flap's lower sloping edge over from right to left, so they lie along the middle fold-line. 14 Valley fold two layers from right to left. 15 Valley fold the front flap's lower sloping edge over from left to right, so they lie along the middle fold-line. 16 Valley fold one layer from left to right. 17 Valley fold the front layer in half from bottom to top. 18 Turn the model over. |
