Shorci , the small people, live in the mountain taiga of the Kuzbass region. They are known metallurgists and smiths.

In the south of Siberia some related peoples speaking in languages of Turkic group live. There are Tartars, Altaic people and Hakass. They were always famous as good herdsmen, handicraftsmen and farmers. And their ancestors created the first states in Siberia - Turkic kaganat and Siberian khanate.
