Not
everybody can to be Shaman. It is considered, that nobody can to learn the shaman action,
it can be received only as the gift.
According to the shamans stories, they have received this gift or from
shamans-ancestors, or immediately from spirits. The shaman gift is not only award for the
selected man, the most probably it is the heavy load, as it is impossible to refuse from
it, otherwise spirits will torment the man to death. Usually before becoming shaman the
man was sick for a long time, he had hallucinations, dreadful sleeps, aches in the whole
body. So the spirits force him to accept the Shaman gift. In that case the man must
go to the known Shaman and ask him what it is necessary to do. Under the guidance of the
known Shaman the man makes the first ritual or dedication. Shamans tell that during
dedication the spirits carry them away in the sky, dismember their bodies, cook it in the
boiler, tear meat off, and only then prepare the man again, inspire the new soul to him
and teach him the Shaman science.
After this ritual the life of the man abruptly varies. He becomes Shaman. It
signifies that he can not any more to turn off selected road, not subjecting himself of
fatal danger. For all life he wiil be connected with the spirits, they will direct and
teach him. At any time of the year, in spite of his desires, he must to make ritual, if
the people or the spirits call him, he must work for them simultaneously, realizing
continuous contact between the world of the people and the world of the spirits. |
