How could anyone ever try to present a site about music without presenting information on composers? Without them, there would really be no music in the first place. Our goal in this section is to introduce to you some of the greatest minds in history. You'll find information about their inspirations, influences, and personalities.
Since this is a chamber music site after all, we've tried to keep this
section devoted only to composers who wrote chamber music. Luckily,
this list includes just about every major composer anyway. There were
some exceptions, however, that we felt had to be included anyway because
of their huge impact on the world of music in general. You can use the
links below to browse the composer index. Or if you prefer, you can get
a
"guided tour"
of the most influential composers by following the
silver links at the bottom of each page in this section.
