Introduction: Project Background

Being part of the class in Singapore's The Chinese High School which is mainly concentrated on Geographical and Environmental issues, I was rather perturbed by the fact that trees were going down faster then they were supposed to be.

Thus Robert, Yolene and myself got together as a group in the hope of setting up a website which we hope may be able to spark similar interests in other people and at the same time educate young people and adults alike on the importance of saving our trees.

Though the after effects of massive logging and deforestation and death to trees caused by man may not be seen in our lifetime, We want to prepare and save the earth for our next generation before they go on without proper education to destroy what mother nature provides us with.

Evidence shows that temperatures have been constantly rising in recent years. This are only some of the effects of deforestation. Too much Carbon Dioxide is in the air and these Carbon Dioxide and other gases thin the ozone layer thus allowing ultra-violet rays to enter they earth. Worse of all, these rays are cancerous. Thus there is a small section in out project covering on global warming.

Tribes, animals and plants alike have lost their habitats and homes to greedy modern man. Rich traditions and cultures of thousands of years wiped out for a bad cause?

These are just some of the things that our project covers.

Feel free to Email me to tell me and my team on what you feel can improve our project.

Yours Sincerely,

Team 26993
