Again, try not to seek out the important relationships between your subjects right away. You should concentrate on finding the "missing" pieces that would help you find the answer. If you can't find out the clues you wanted, go ahead and dig up other more prominent clues that may be able to help you discover the clues you wanted.
Even with the above techniques you may still find these problems are hard to solve and don't make any sense. Don't despair; you should try more this kind of problems to build up your skills and even refer to a book.
