This is the German School in VRML. It was built in Caligari trueSpace 4 and converted into VRML. To keep the file small, I have made each room a seperate file.

The controls are quite simple. However they differ depending on which plug-in you use. Basicaly there will be a main button (in the middle of the toolbar) with which you can navigate, by clicking and holding your left mouse button, and dragging in the proper direction. Another useful button is the viewpoint tool. I have added many "cameras" within the world. If you select a camera file from (usually there is one) pop up menu, you will be "flown" to this place in the school.
You will notice that your pointer will change shape over some objects. This means that this object has a special feature to it, which will be activated by clicking it. In the school you will see doors. You may click on them to be transfered to the linked room. The pictures on the walls are also linked, however they are linked to a persons E-mail address, the person who made the picture. You may send comments to these people.

NOTE: We wanted to add special features to some of the worlds, such as animations. But we tested the world on many systems, and it worked on only a few. Because we want as many people as possibleto be able to view this world, we removed the animations. Possibly in the future when we learn more about VRML, we can add these features back into the GSNY.
AND: You realise that a VRML world is just a file. When you are in a room and you exit it (by clicking the door) you are then returned to the GSNY file. You will start again where you originally started (a birds eye view of the school). We think it is possible to link to an individual camera file, so that when you exit a room you will be transfered to the place outside the door. We don't yet know how to do this, but hopefully we soon will...
