N. Khruchev
Nikita Sergejevich Khruchev was born in Kalinovka in 1984. His political career started in the second decade in the 20th century when he joined the Soviet Communist Party, between 1918 and 1935 first in the civil war, later in various places performed party-works. Then he worked in the Central Committee of the Ukrainian Communist Party and was elected to be the first secretary at the SCP's Central Committee. He had this position till 1964 while he worked as the head of the Council of Ministers too. His reforms ('destalination'), which were repugnant to a lot of representatives, his mistakes and his irascible nature resulted that in October, 1964 he was forced to resign and to retire.
In spite of this he made a lot of things for the SU, particularly for its foreign influence. He travelled a lot and these trips contributed to the spread of the Soviet influence, mostly in the Mideast and in Cuba. But the peaceful politic with the US provocated the hostile behaviour of China. The drawing back in Cuba promoted his retirement as well.
