AC-130H Spectre

The primary mission of AC-130H Spectre are the close air support, air interdiction and armed reconaissance, but can be used for defense, for escort, for assisting landings and debarkations, for air control, for combat search and rescue as well.

This heavily armed aircraft has side-firing weapons integrated with the sensor, navigation and fire control systems to carry out accurate attacks in extensive periods, even in hostile weather conditions. The radar and electronic sensors can seperate the allied forces to the enemy. The navigation also contains inertial navigation system and global positioning system.

The story of the Spectre is quite impressive. These aircrafts destroyed more than 10 thousand vehicles and gave assist in many rescue action. It defeated the enemy air defense and attacked ground troops in Grenada and it was used for attack and defense in Panama, Iraq and on the Balkan as well.
