I was born on Sunday, February 1st, 1987, in the city of Berne. 19 months later, another boy was born into our family: my little brother, Fabian. My brother and I spend a lot of time together. I like books, sports, and music; I play the piano. We have some animals in our family too: my rabbit Nala and our cat Nora. I was very excited about Patrick's idea to collect facts and to write text about hair. After just a few days, I recognized all the many-sided ways we could treat this topic. It was my job to collect information and to write articles. I used many media like newspapers, books, radio, TV and, last but not least, the Internet. At the end, I revised the German text. I also provided ideas about the graphic design to Patrick. I was very happy to know that Janice revised the English part of the site. I very much enjoyed doing this job. I learned a lot about hair and new software and I gained some more experience using e-mail. I, Patrick Karpiczenko, entered this world on January 6th 1986 in Berne. Immediately, the electronic world began to fascinate me. When I was still very young, I started to produce my own games. But that is not all that I enjoy. I like to read, especially SpecSellers like "Lord of the Rings" or "The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy." Besides this, also have my own tomcat named Socrates, who lights up every dark afternoon. I also like to swim, although it is not best thing I can do. If you want to upset me, give me spinach to eat or teach me French. In my reading, I have found that "HAIR," to report about our theme, is a subject which you can't find much anywhere. You meet this "theme" everywhere and everyday, yet it so rarely discussed. For this website I did: a lot of wording, the design, the Hair Quiz, the interactive Comic Hairless and a few other things. With this project I had a lot of fun!
I, Janice Dru, entered this world on January 25th 1982. Immediately, I began to cry :). But soon thereafter, I discovered many facets of the world which brought to light various thing that fascinate me. I found myself dabbling in the visual arts, creative writing, scientific research, and playing with kids. As soon as our family received our first computer, when I was about ten years old, I found another medium to explore. Soon, I was using the computer daily for research and writing. Just recently, I have begun to develop an interest in graphic design, computer programming and languages, and "making stuff" with computers. I also like to run, although it is not a thing I do very well either; I get upset when something cannot be found, which is very often, or when my computer crashes. In my hours of studying the web, I discovered the ThinkQuest site. When I finally connected with a group serious about completing an entry, I was a little dubious about the theme "HAIR." But after reading articles, studying the educational value of the subject, and really getting interested in hair beyond how it looks, I have found myself devoting even more hours to the production of this website. For this website I did: a lot of editing, further design, graphics, informational articles, and a few other things as well.
