Sukiyaki
The sauce makes this great
The sauce:
Three quarters cup water
One quarter cup mirin
One quarter cup sake
One quarter cup sugar
One half cup soy sauce
Mix well. Bring to a boil, then cool. We used a small iron pot; you can use a pan. Layer
in:
Tofu
Sliced zucchini
Chinese cabbage, sliced
Bamboo shoots
Sliced onion
Green onion
Sliced mushrooms
Shirataki noodles
Pour sauce over the vegetables, just below the level of the veggies.. don't cover with
sauce. Bring to a boil simmer until veggies are tender. Serve over rice
