Great Low-Fat Tacos

You need some special items for these tacos.

* Loma Linda "Vege-Burger"

This is in a can, made with grain protein.

* Bearitos Taco Seasoning

This is the seasoning that gives the taco flavor

* Bearitos Taco Shells.

Most crisp taco shells are made with hydrogenated oil, which

is definitely not healthy.

* Dairy free "cheese" alternative

Found again at Down To Earth

From any supermarket:

* 1 small onion, chopped

* Your favorite salsa

* shredded lettuce

* avocado (optional, since avocado is high in fat)

Sauté the chopped onion in a non stick skillet, using water to sauté until the onion is translucent. Open the can of Vege Burger and add to the onion. Add 1/2 to 2/3 cup of water, along with the packet of taco seasoning. Mix and heat until warm and well mixed.

Heat the taco shells in your oven. Spoon some of the vege burger taco mixture into warmed crisp taco shell. Add some grated cheese alternative. Spoon on some salsa, and then top with avocado and shredded lettuce.

Enjoy!
