Meat, poultry, fish, beans, nuts, and
eggs are all great sources of protein. The food guide pyramid
suggests that people eat 2 - 3 servings from this group each day. Examples of what counts
as one serving are:
> 2 - 3 ounces of cooked lean meat,
poulty, or fish
>1 egg, 1/2 cup dry cooked beans (pinto, black, and navy are types of dry beans)
>2 tablespoons of peanut butter count as 1 ounce of lean meat
