[Food Pyramid][Fats][Milk][Meat][Vegetable][Fruit][Bread]

Many daily servings of fruit is a vital aspect for a healthy diet. Fruits are a great source of vitamins. Oranges, strawberries, and watermelon are just some examples of good sources of vitamin C. Fruits also give us carbohydrates and fiber. The food guide pyramid suggests that people eat 2 - 4 servings from this group daily. Examples of a single serving of fruit are listed:

>1 medium-sized apple, banana, or orange
>1/2 cup of cooked or canned fruit
>1/2 cup of fruit juice
