Biography of Fred Hunter
Fred Hunter was born in the city of Chicago. In the late 1980s, Hunter decided to write her first mystery novel. The book, “Presence of Mind” was finally completed in 1990.

In August of 1990, Hunter met Stann, who was to become the love of her life. But unfortunately, Stann died of meningitis and lymphoma on the day before Thanksgiving in 1995.

Fred Hunter’s all time favorite mystery author is Ngaio Marsh, who wrote the Inspector Allyn series. She set out to kill people in the most unusual fashions possible, and she achieved it. She has characters who were killed by giant champagne bottles, beheaded on stage, and she even has one book where someone is shot by a piano. As far as general fiction my current favorite is Amy Tan. Her writing has a richness that no one can achieves these days.
