Sue, has a home in Montecito, California ("Santa Theresa") and another in Louisville, Kentucky, the city in which she was born and raised. She was an English major in college with minors in Fine Arts and Humanities. Sue Grafton started writing seriously when she was 18, and wrote her first novel when she was 22.
