Naguib Sawires
              nagib sawiras

One of the most famous business men in Egypt and one of the richest men in the world , with companies in all sorts of fields to the extent that it made people say that any big or small project in this country just has to belong to Naguib Sawires !

HIS LIFE

He is now going to tell us his story with success : I went to the German school in Cairo then I joined the faculty of Engineering . After just one year in the faculty I decided to travel to Switzerland to complete my studies there in the High Institution of Technology where I got my Bs in mechanics and also in business management , I then went right back to Egypt and I never thought about living abroad.
The truth is I found all the opportunities that I wanted here in Egypt so there was no need to travel abroad for I could achieve all my goals here in Egypt . We asked him if he is with or against privatization he replied : I am definitely with privatization for it is a policy as I see it without one error , if we think some people loosing their jobs is an error in this policy then I say that the only one who will lose his job is the one who can not produce and is not good enough for the job and that is an asset in its own right . But in the private sector that doesn't happen for they only employ the competent and while the incompetent have no place . As for foreign investment and the economy I say that it helps the economy grow and not as some people say destroying it for all the projects are very well planned for and there is nothing to be feared from the privatization policy . If we hadn't wasted 30 years depending on the public sector we could have become one of the major powers in the world like Japan and many other countries that rebuilt their economy . When all my money and all my investments are in my own county do you think that there is any one who will fear for it more than I , the answer is well know for those who have no money mean nothing to the country and the country means nothing to them .

WHAT HE THINKS OF THE FUTURE

We asked him if he is thinking of running for the elections of the house of parliament he replied : The idea its self is not easy for a parliament member cannot fulfil his role as a member as well as his run his business for he has to see what his people need and that requires a lot of effort so he cannot do anything else .
I think that the problem with the youth these days is that they still cannot get high posts in the government I think that we should give them the chance to prove themselves worthy of such a responsibility for they are able to offer a lot .

He said about The GAT agreement affect the industry in Egypt  : I think it is still too early to talk about the GAT agreement , we still have a few years until it starts its work and we have to get the ISO quality certificates to be able to face the competition . This agreement has its positive and negative sides the positive is in exporting our products and the negative is in not being able to .
