The idea of transforming Lake Trasimeno into a "Chocolake"
was started in 1998. There are relaxing cruises which allow visitors the
opportunity to appreciate the wonderful landscape and the delicious chocolates served on
board the ChocoBoat. Every week-end during the day and the evening, the
Chocoboat sails to the ancient towns surrounding the lake and stops at the three islands
(Maggiore, Minore and Polvese). |

In 1998, the little Caporali theatre in the beautiful medieval village of Panicale was the venue for a musical comedy show based on the theme of chocolate. |
Also in 1998 the first "Torneo di Chocogolf" was organised in the three Golf Clubs located in Umbria. There were Milk Chocolate, Plain Chocolate and Hazelnut Chocolate competitions where winners were presented with a quantity of chocolate equivalent to their weight! |
