internally dark brown; the taste is bitter-aromatic. The Cacao from Principe Island and
Fernando Po belong to this category. |
Republic of Ghana
Cacao from Ghana, also known as Cacao of Acra from the port
of exportation. It is generally produced by the natives, from the type Forastero
(melonado) and the aspect is similar to thenSan Thomé, but the quality is inferior, being
more bitter, the colour is not uniform and frequently invaded by mould and parasites.
Cacao from Nigeria is similar. |
