"A war is only a war when one brother fights against the other." (Shot Through the Heart-HBO). Although this is true for all wars, especially civil wars, many of the enemies are thousands of miles away.
Many Jews that were in the war weren't in Europe. They were in the United States only able to hear about the terrible things happening to their many relatives. Many tried to persuade the U.S. to enter the war, but the United States only wanted to avoid the war.
The United States didn't enter the war until Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese. Even then, the threat of the Holocaust wasn't relieved until 1945, more than a decade after the first Jew was murdered.
The deaths can in no way be blamed on the U.S. for the failure to enter the war. The real people to blame for the 6 million deaths shouldn't be a few countries or a few million nazis. In reality, the deaths came from just one man, Adolf Hitler. Without this man, World War II probably would have never started, and the Holocaust would never have started. He convinced a whole country that Jews were the blame of all their problems.
In reality, Hitler was a coward. He had to convince other people to get rid of the people he hated most. Although he was a brilliant commander, his evil tactics did nothing to convince the world. Forever, Hitler will be known as the most viscious killer that man has ever known. Hitler is an example of how one man can change the world forever.
From Hitler's tactics, he made us realize that history can repeat itself. He made us realize how one man can change everything and cause chaos. He made us realize that war is one of the most terrible arguments by mankind.
The saddest thing about the world is that it doesn't learn from its mistakes. Of course, since the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing, no other intentional nuclear bombings have been conducted from war because of the fear of world wide destruction. No matter how much we try, war will always exist in mankind. It can exist in a feud between siblings, neighbors, gangs, communities, cities, states, provinces, or even countries. There will always be war, because not everyone can get along. Unless there is a miracle between now and the next century, we will have World War III. World War III wont consist of weapons, knives, guns, explosives. It will consist of a few bombs that will end the world. Hopefully, we don't come to this, but it will happen; sooner or later. Let's change.
