Y2K stands for Year 2000, when Y2K rolls over we are supposed to have some major problems with computers, but first a little history. Y2K was created
when computer programmers in the 1960's and 70's were writing some....code and were setting dates and things like that.
They were originally going to write the time as 12/5/1965 or so, but in those days there was not much computer space and what there was of it, cost mega bucks, and so to save them a few
cents they shortened it, to dates 6 digit dates instead of 8, for example 12/5/65. It saved them a few bucks, but it's going to cost us much, much, more.
Fortunately for you Apple fans out there, Apple reported that you will have no problems, ever since the first 126kb computer came off the line, they have been
using 8 digit dates.
