| What speaks for an atomic power plant? |
|
|
The today's western nuclear power stations are enormously safe. Practically no
radioactive (and for us organisms, dangerous) radiation can escape from their
progressive safety barriers.
Additionally atomic power plant does not load the environment as strongly as a charring or an oil power station. A nuclear power station of the 1000MW-Class needs annually 50 tons uranium to manufacture current as much as a coal-fired power station produces with 1.5 million tons of coal.
A further aspect is that the " third world countries " cannot build nuclear power stations. Is it that the infrastructure is missing or that no cash can be applied.
Therefore these countries must still win electricity with coal, gas or oil and if the " first world countries " use the atomic energy they would not snatch away the raw materials.
