A world without current is today inconceivable. Clearly live peoples, who never used an electrical kitchen device and the word " current " is not found in their vocabulary.
The percentage of these people is however small compared with the current users infinitesimal. Current is pervasive. A routine of the day of average humans looks in approximately so: At 6 o'clock the electronic bell goes off and a radio voice wishes us a beautiful day. We switch the light on and look on the digital display of our wrist-watch. Hups already 6.30 am there is only time for a coffee from the machine. Afterwards we must run to the station, in order to hear that the loudspeaker over us admits the course is delayed. Finally the train arrives and the doors opens. We take a seat and already we can relax with music from the portable CD-Player. Arrived in the office we turn our computer on and recall the first E-mails. Finally we get the furnace freshly rolls, those to break, of the baker and enjoy a cup tea in addition. Unfortunately the telephone rings and a customer would like an information, which we send it later by fax. In lunch time we board ourselves from the cafeteria kitchen. After office conclusion we buy and the nice lady in the supermarket and gives us first still too little back cash from their checkout, although the correct amount appears on the display. At home arrived, we stow the purchases away in the refrigerator and switch the television on. Unfortunately even no good program is transmitted and we make us something in the microwave hot, in order to feed it afterwards. Naturally the music from the new rear Hi-Fi system may not be missing. Quite fatigued we fall into our bed and think what for day will tomorrow begin at 6.00 o'clock. All fat-written words have something to do directly or indirectly with current and electricity. You see life without current is not possible. Without Franklin, Watts or Volta we would dream probably still about the first moon-landing and also the high-complicated heart transplant ions would not be reality yet. Therefore we are very glad that current exists. Because without you could not read this page and we could not write about a such interesting topic. |
