


voluntary mute I met a woman who is 36 years old. She told me that she did not speak until she was 7 years old, but that she understood what here parents and grandparents said to her. She told me that as a child she used the (voluntary) state as a control device to get what she wanted. Then at age 7 for whatever reason she spoke a word, heard her voice, and from that point she spoke as a regular person. This woman graduated from a university with a Master's degree in business education. MY inquirey: was her condition a form of autism? [ Terug naar de database ]
