Actions

Religion suggests that our actions reflect who we are, and that we will be judged by our Creator according to our actions. I have observed human behavior and have noticed a suspicious correlation between our actions and the genes and environment that we inherit. If there is such a correlation, religion is wrong when they pass judgement on people for their behavior. Granted, most people have some degree of control on the decisions that they make, but why do they even make them? Where do we draw the line where people are accountable for their behavior and when they are not? I understand all too well the forces of the body and the drive that it has to do things that religion considers sin. Why would a person choose to be dysfunctional or "bad" when success is at hand? It is because of our inherited tendencies and state of mind. It is because of our inherited physical chemistry and temperaments. It is because of our environment that trains our mind and develops our patterns and habits. It is easy for people without severe physical tendencies to pass judgement on those that do...but the mere fact that they believe whole-heartedly in something that is invisible... in something that is more apt to be in their imagination than it is to be real... in something that is impossible to be comfirmed... absolutely proves that they are as dysfuctional as the people that they spit upon.
