Pressure Under Water

The weight of an object presses down on the surface it is resting on .This will create pressure on the surface. If that object is being placed by a block of water, there will still be a pressure.This is what happens under the water. If you move further down into the water, There will be a bigger weight of water above you, and the greater the pressure is. The difference under water is that the pressure pushes down, up and sideways as well. It pushes in all directions.

Squeezing the top of the bag causes the water to squirt out.That means that:Pressure is transmitted throughout the liquid.Also the water will squirts out in all directions.This also means that:Pressure acts in all directions. Pressure can increase with depth. As well as depth, the pressure also depends on :the density of the liquid and also the pull of gravity, g=10N/Kg.

Pressure =10 X depth X density
