Galaxies that cannot be classifield under spiral and elliptical are called irregular galaxies. Irregulars have a unique appearance and is different from the rest.
There are two types of irregulars. The first type is the galaxies are just like the spiral galaxies except that they do not have the shape of the spiral. The second type is thay are distorted and strange looking. This appearance made astronomers think that the galaxies may have collided with other galaxies. At the south of the equator, on a clear night, you are able to see two irregular galaxies which is orbiting the Milky Way Galaxy. They are bright and could be clearly seen.
