• In Germany there is a woman (called a Klofrau) in the public toilet rooms that cleans and restocks things. It's customary to give her a few pfenig for keeping it clean.
  • Some toilet rooms in the larger cities cost a fee to get in of about 50 cents.
  • Pizza in Germany doesn't come in slices. Instead each person buys a whole pizza that's smaller. Some people eat it with a fork and a knife.
  • German transportation (such as busses and trains) is almost always on time. If it says that it will leave at 11:02 chances are it won't be there at 11:03.
  • In Germany it's rare to find door knobs. Instead there are door handles.
  • A German post office is more than just a place to mail letters. They are also a phone company and a bank. Also, the phone booths and mail boxes are all yellow.
