Multicultural Objectives

One of the interesting aspects of the Camden Radiation Investigation was the teamwork that occurred between Camden High and Cherry Hill West High Schools (both in South Jersey). Camden High is an inner-city school of African American and Hispanic students. Cherry Hill West High, located in the suburbs, has largely a Caucasian population.

The benefits of students from diverse backgrounds working together are far reaching. All teams were formed with members from both schools including African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic students. While working together they put aside prejudices and preconceptions and worked to find common interests and goals. The final products are a testament to their success.
