Interview with Ronald Buchheit

The Digital Apparition team had the rare chance to interview Ronald Buchheit. He was kind enough to answer our questions and give us permission to use them on our page. Ronald was a student of history and education at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a nationally certified Chess coach. Besides being a coach, Ronald is a director of instruction for the American Chess School. Also, Ronald is a former co-director of the Castle Chess Camp.

 | I took a test and received a letter of recommendation. |

 | Tournaments, Grand Master Strength, and earn so many "MORMS". |
 | Is Chess a creative art form or a scientific game? |
 | Both and a sport. |
 | Is being a Grand Master like being a professional athlete? If so, how? |
 | No, it is not a spectator sport. You are less paid, and you have to earn your way. |
 | Is Chess a good way to meet people and make new friends? |
 | I have met some people, but I believe there are easier ways to make friends. |
 | What advice would you give a young, inspiring Chess player? |
