General remarks on history
The word " dope " originates from a dialect spoken in southeast Africa and describes a high-per cent liquor, which was used with cult actions as Stimulans. The Englishmen took up later (after military conflicts with the Buren settled there) this term to their vocabulary and brought it to Europe.
The word " Doping " was mentioned 1888 for the first time in an English dictionary and defined a mixture from Opium and anaesthetics to the application when horse running. The thought of the artificial increase in output goes back however into the antiquity: now the Olympioniken at that time is, the enormous amounts at bull testicle verzehrten to run in order to increase their combat capability, the Cocablaetter chewing Inkas of central and South America or the Tarahumara Indianerstamm, which was by the meal of the Peyote Kaktus able, several hundred kilometers without interruption.
The first Dopingfaelle of more recent time occurred - in particular after the introduction of the 6-Tage-Rennen 1879 - with the cycle racing. Here some facts:
1886: (has his first Dopingtoten, the Englishman Linton Radrenn)Sport to deplore. Dead one in the cycle racing by Amphetamine:
1949: Fabio Aldese (Italy)
1959: Buttazoni (Italy)
1960: Knut Enemark Jensen (Denmark)
1963: First large scandal: During the Austrian wheel round travel the entire Austrian national team is disqualifiziert, since with the check of the leotards with several Austrian point drivers large quantities of Amphetaminen and other Stimulantien were found. According to Venerando no occupation wheel running driver went ungedopt to the start in the years 1960-1967 with important radrennen. Only spectacular death by Amphetamine of the English wheel professional Tom Simpson at the route de France 1967 gave cause for the introduction of strengthened Doping checks.
1967: First Doping checks with world championships (Amsterdam). 1968: First Dopingkontrollen with olympic plays (Grenoble, Mexico town center). 1972: First global Dopingliste of the IOC. 1987: The German Siebenkaempferin Brigitte Dressel dies due to " multi-medication ". 1988: The Canadian Sprinter Ben Johnson is transferred the Dopings with the Anabolikum " Stanozol ". 1992: Katrin crab suffers the same fate before like Johnson. 1996: The Austrian Paradebodybuilder Andreas Muenzer dies at multi-functional organ failure among other things due to CARRION and HGH.
