The show is taped everyday and the
order varies from day to day:
The opening consists of activities
taped around the school. Anything from kids in P.E. class to even
the talent show. It is shown for about 40 to 70 seconds. This
gives kids who are not in the t.v. production class a chance to
be on LNN.
Opening Announcements are done by the anchors. The anchors introduce
them during this time and let everybody know what is coming up
in the show.
The Pledge of Allegiance is a very important part of the show. A student in the class stands near a flag or even hold it, while saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Announcements are done by
the anchors as well. They are reminders of club meetings, school
dances, sports activities, exams, early releases, report cards,
and anything else related to school.
A feature story is an extra addition to the show. The story can be about a school assembly, cross country meet, dance, or any other school event.
The weather includes the temperatures
and surf report, it also includes the weekend weather outlook.
Sports
are done by two anchors as well. School sports and YMCA sports
are mentioned as well as scores in the NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, Golf
and NFL.
The Hollywood Minute is also known
as the entertainment portion of our show. It is about movies that
are playing, music that is popular, and fun things that are happening
in the community.
Birthdays' and Lunch are formatted on a computer and then taped.
This segment lists the student's birthdays and the lunch menu
for that week.
Closing announcements feature the anchors as they say their goodbyes. They also recite a quote for the day for the students to think about.
Credits are typed up and taped just like the birtdays and the lunch menu. They list each job and who currently holds that position.
