Objectives
We embarked on this topic for ThinkQuest '99 as we felt that Tibet lacks international media coverage despite its political and human rights plight. We intend to educate others on Tibet for the common good of the people. With this important knowledge, one would further understand and realize the third world that we've been neglecting. And finally, we are, in a way, doing justice to the people of Tibet.

Design
If you haven't noticed, the main backbone of the website is based on tables. As for the color scheme, it's mainly orange which is considered a religious color in Tibet, black and white for simplicity that represents the spartan lifestyles of Tibetans. The background is of course, a sample of Tibetan writing that depicts the literary treasures of Tibet as well as the general outlook of the site - in-depth, scholarly and refreshing.

Features · Components
We have identified the 12 main sections for our project. However, that's not all. We have split the various sections into their respective sub-sections. This means that every main section has its own lobby

To make the conveyance of information more convenient for the reader, we have short descriptions and images related to the various sub-sections at every lobby. Besides, there are back to top buttons located at every sub-section page. In addition, if you've any queries, you may refer to our comprehensive help section.

That's not all, the user may also fully utilize our search facility to find information, photos or even media clips. At Tibet: Left In The Wilderness, we go all out to provide a user-friendly interface for you, our customer for the day. That's why we've inserted Back, Search, Help, Home and Menu buttons on every page.

We can guarantee a holistic learning experience through our sounds, Real Audio music clips, movies, and vibrant photos. Besides, we have active web content in the form of Flash components. Not forgetting, in-depth, accurate and detailed write-ups on every possible facet of Tibet.
