Minorities in General
There are fifty-five minorities in China. And each tribes has unique traditinoal cultures and established the own society. But after the establishment of PRC, a lot of minorities were forced the Chinese way. In the process, some tribes like Tibetan lost a part of its culture and conflict arose.
The Yi Tribe
The Yi Tribe has the largest population among the minority group in the Suchan Province. The aea was somehow modernized, but traditional culture like "Torch Festival" still remaines.
The Naxi Tribe
The Naxi Tribe resides mainly in the Sichan area. This tribe is well known for its culture, and remains ond of te few minority group who attract tourists. And its religion, "Dongba" is unique thought and has intersting mythology.
The Bulang Tribe
The Bulang tribe lives in the Yunnan Province. And Buddhism is penetrating among the tribe. This tribe loves song and music, and often express their feeling with beautiful voice.
