The Munich Pact
An agreement was signed in 1938 at Munich,
Germany. Germany, Great Britain, France, and Italy, which surrendered
the Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia, to Germany in this agreement.
Czechoslovakia, was not invited to the talks, was forced to give in to
the pact's terms. President Bene & Scaron had been
abandoned by his allies and he resigned. British Prime Minister.
Neville Chamberlain, returned to London, announced that he had
achieved peace in our time. This document was widely regarded as
surrender to Hitler. The Munich Pact became a symbol of appeasement,
and World War II began about one year after its signing.
