Each athlete must ultimately sculpt a training regimen that will work for him.  Just as no two athletes perform alike, no two athletes train exactly alike either.  A basic format for endurance training, as this is, can only take you so far.  In the end, while this formula can go a long way to improving training, the finer points of becoming a better athlete lie in the hands of the athlete himself.
