SubAntarctic Islands Antarctica is the most isolated continents from other lands. Pressed down by the weight of its icecap, its continental shelves are narrower and deeper than those of other continents. Thus, it has few offshore islands which have not been submerged by the sea or overridden by the out-flowing ice sheets from the continental land mass itself. In this chapter, we bring to you the tiny outposts in the stormy Southern Ocean.
