Our social life is filled with games. They are necessary as well as desired. The only question is if the games played by a particular person are profitable for him. Payoff is a very important feature of a game. On a great scale games are an immanent part of an unknown life plan or scenario of every individual. They fill nearly all our time till the death.

Example of games:
(taken from Eric Berne’s “W co graj¹ ludzie. Psychologia stosunków miêdzyludzkich” )

Kick Me
The game played by people whose style of life is an equivalent to carrying the label “Please do not kick me”. That label causes temptation to “kick” the player. When it happens player always cries: “It was written not to kick me” and after it “Why it always happens to me?” This feeling - being kicked, being unfair treated by life, by other ethically worse people is the payoff in this game. If the people from player’s environment avoid to “kick” him his behavior became more and more provocative to force them to fill their “kicking” duty. This game could have some common elements with the game “My bud lucks are bigger then yours”.

Look, what I have done because of you!
In it’s classical form it is marriage game but it can also be played between parents and children or in work. Mr. White because of unsocial humor is doing something what helps him to isolate from environment. Suddenly someone enter his loneliness - wife or child just to get short social contact asking for example “Where are pliers?” This invasion “causes” that something what Mr. White was doing at the moment is broken, fallen down or destroyed in different manner. Mr. White then cries: “Look what I have done because of you!!!” This game is easily learned by children by that it go without effort from generation to generation.
