Beginnings of existing till nowdays Chinese civilization go back to Neolith - IVth millenium BC. The first dynasty confirmed by historians is the Shang Dynasty which ruled China between 1766-1122 or 1027 BC. Beginning of their rule is also the beginning of the bronze age on this area. During the reign of the next dynasty, Chou (1122 or 1027 BC - 256 BC), a feudal system that later caused regional division, developed. It was a period of great development of Chinese philosophy: Confucianism, Taoism, Mohism, Legalism were created. Around 221 BC the area became united. During the reign of Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) Chinese national culture assumed a shape. Buddhism was introduced in I century AD. Following is 400 years of political unrest and economic regression. Rulers from the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD) united China. During their reign printing was invented. In 1211 the north part of China was conquered by Genghis-Khan. His grandson became the Chinese emperor and set up Yuan Dynasty (1279 - 1368 AD). In 1516 Portugese found the port in Kanton.
