Greatest Common Factors (GCF) :

 

 


A common factor of two numbers is a number that is a factor of both numbers.

Ex: 3 x 8 = 24 and 3 x 12 = 36. 3 is a common factor of 24 and 36.
The  greatest common factor of two numbers is the largest number that is a common factor of both.

Least Common Multiple (LCM):

A common multiple of two numbers is a number that is a multiple of both. 

Ex:
     8 x 10 = 80 and 20 x 4 = 80
      
      80
is a common multiple of 8 and 20.

The least common multiple of two numbers is the smallest number that is a common multiple of both.

 




Find the GCF and LCM of each pair of numbers.
