Area of a Triangle :

 

The area of a triangle is how much surface space the triangle takes up.

The formula for calculating the area of a triangle is simple. Multiply the base by the height and divide by 2.

Try this sample problem. The base and height are given. Now just find the area of this equilateral triangle.

 


Here the given height and base are substituted into the formula.

Now this is the easy part. Just divide 48 in.2 by 2.

The correct answer is 24 in.2
