Area of a Circle:

 

The area of a circle is how much surface space the circle takes up.
The equation to calculate the surface area of a circle is simple. Multiply x the radius2 (squared).

Here is a basic problem. The radius is given to be 6 inches and you have to solve the surface area of the circle. Just apply the formula Area = Pi x R2 . If done correctly your result should be around 113.04 in.2
Now for one final problem.

Your answer should be 803.84 cm.2
