Bob's Dead Day
By: Becky
Mystery
Then he died. He died a
horrible, painful death. Billy and Joanna hated him even after he died
just
because his blood stained their clothes. After a while though
people got tired of celebrating his death. Then they had an idea,
they would make one day of the year "Bob's dead day."
Bob had led a very strange childhood--he had no close friends, he cultivated no relationships, and he observed no personalities that he would even consider pursueing. Bob's parents had died mysteriously in a plane crash while going to New York to collect their Publisher's Clearinghouse winnings. Bob inherited $4,000,000.00 and a whole passle of problems as all these sleazy "relatives" came crawling out of the woodwork. Finally, his Aunt Sally from Seattle was awarded legal guardianship of Bob and his millions. She immediately got fake nails from Nails R Us along with new leopard-skin boots and a lizard purse. Her fashion sense was as lacking as her maternal instincts. Bob was left to fend for himself, but his superior intellect and, of course, his unlimited pocket change made this a relatively easy matter. After Aunt Sally suffers a lapse in judgment and falls prey to a slick con-man-lawyer-type, Bob manages to unload her with a rather generous payoff in the form a $50,000.00 yearly allowance. She happily agreed as long as Mr. Right side-stepped his legal difficulties and was allowed to maintain his law practice. Oooh, boy! Bob is footloose and unincumbered at 21!
