Brodie's Poems

AMERICA
Land of the free,
Home of the brave,
Don't take it for granted,
That we can be free,
When in other countries,
They serve masters or kings,
America's goverment is ran by the people,
And not by royality,
America's flag represents our freedom,
The 13 colonies,
And all 50 states,
I'm so thankful to live in America.
Rain
Drop by drop,
It falls from the sky,
Like a faucet with a slow leak.
It sounds like drums,
When it patters on your roof.
It wets the ground,
It wets the road,
It falls onto the back,
Of a big ugly toad.
Snow
White and cold,
Falling from the sky,
Like a feather gliding down.
It lands on the ground,
With a silent touch.
It can be packed into balls,
And thrown across the yard.
It covers the ground,
Like a blanket of white.
But all the excitement comes to an end,
When the sun shines really bright.
HAIL
Hard and cold,
Banging on your window,
Like a crazed man.
It hits you with a painful thud.
If you are asleep and awake to a clatter,
Look out your window and see if its hailing.
