By tampering with even a single thread, we risk destroying an entire spider web. With each pull, the system becomes more fragile and the future less certain. The rainforests are a complex system, each part dependent on another. With the removal of any one of the part of the system, we risk loosing the whole; yet humans continue to tear down over 75,000 acres of rainforest per day. With this continuous tampering of the ecological system that makes up the tropical rainforests, we upset the balance of plants and animals that make up the system, paving the way for their extinction.
