Student requesting for help

Hello,
I am student from the International School of Tanganyika (IST) - Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania. I am currently in my second year of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma course and I am hoping that you can help me here.
As per required by the Diploma, I am writing an extended essay or 'a thesis', and I have chosen to research in-depth on fractals - in relation with computer science. I have searched many sources but am still struggling to find the right information and would greatly appreciate it if you could help me in any way possible - by sending me information or at least direct me to somewhere or someone who surely can.
In particular, in the essay, I'm looking to discuss in detail on the uses of fractals within computer science or in software application (e.g. scenes in games). However I would also like information on how computers need to be used to create them and how they were first created.
