* The site:

    The pyramids are in Giza on the West Bank of the Nile. Giza is one of the most ancient cities all over the world. Its history relates to 3200 B.C when itwpe16.jpg (20410 bytes) waschosen by the first king of Egypt king Narmer to be the capital and he called it Anbdgadg. But it was known to the Arabs as Manaf.

     The pyramids in Giza were built over a knoll known as the knoll of Giza. The secret is that this mounds was near to Ean Shaams the temple of the god Raa More over the stones of this mound were cut and used in establishing the pyramids because of their solidity and hardness.

* Reasons for choosing their             location:

    The ancient Egyptian’s choice of this set isn’t accidentally. But is due to many reasons where are: -

    1)The unique location of Giza as a link between the north and the south.
    2)The existence of Giza huge mound upon         which the pyramids were built.
    3)Because of the height and wideness of this      knoll which allows the pyramids to look over all around it.
    4)The stones of this mound were easy cut and used in building pyramids because of their solidity and hardness.
    5)The location was near Ean Shaams the temple of the Egyptian god ‘ Raa’.
    6)Their belief that the western share of the Nile is the refuge of the dead souls.
